Study abroad in Valencia

Study Spanish in Valencia and take advantage of the city's beautiful beaches and pleasant Mediterranean climate.

Valencia is Spain's third largest city, so there are plenty of museums, restaurants, bars and clubs to keep you entertained when you aren't studying. The city's Old Town is full of beautiful historic buildings, narrow streets and little cafes and bars, contrasting starkly to the modernist architecture in the city of arts and sciences. This area houses the largest aquarium in Europe, a science museum, 3D cinema, opera house and botanical gardens, all designed by the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava. Of course, the beach is also a popular spot to enjoy your free time, with many to choose from within the city and surrounding areas.

Valencia is the home of paella and there are plenty of fantastic restaurants lining the coast where you can try various versions of this famous Spanish dish. Rice is a staple of Valencian cuisine and there are many other paella like dishes that are worth trying during your stay, including arròs negre (rice with squid and squid ink) and arròs al forn (an oven cooked rice dish containing sausages, chickpeas and potatoes).
