Browns Brisbane - Matìas
It is the afternoon here at Browns. Every morning I work in a hostel in the touristic part of town, doing a bit of everything: cleaning, cooking a bit, and reception work.
I already only have just a month left of classes and then I will be done. At the moment I am in the 'Upper' level and I hope that I can finish the last weeks I have left in "Advanced". I am very happy with the school, the professors and what I have learned. My goals are that in one year I can have enough resources to be able to do a trip of 5-6 months in other countries. In this regard, I am very happy with my current level of English and what I have learned.

The city is incredible. I prefer the heat over the cold, so I am very happy with this climate. The tropical climate means that everything is green and jungle-like. There are many green spaces and parks in the city, and people also have trees in their homes. The city functions to perfection with their public transport, cleanliness, and maintenance of their green spaces, so it is not hard to love Brisbane.
The school functions pretty well, it is located in the center of the city, meaning you can do things easily before and after class. My teacher for this level is quite strict, but for me this is an incentive. For the moment, there are only positive things to speak of. Thank you for following up with me.
Greetings from Brisbane

It was an incredible experience!
The host family, the Browns apartment and the school were all really great, 100% recommendable. Excellent professors. Next year I would like to return, but for longer, between six months and a year. We will be in contact to organize this through you again!
Cheers,
Angel.

Our experience in Australia was wonderful, the cultural diversity of this country is incredible. We met people from almost everywhere, giving us a really unforgettable experience.
In relation to the school, I had the opportunity to make great friends from all over the world, which made the trip worthwhile. But that was just for my own personal enrichment. In my experience, I had some fabulous teachers and some not so great. I think that is something that the school can improve. I had three teachers who taught me a lot and undoubtedly helped my level of learning.
The classes were dynamic, entertaining and you have the opportunity to learn a lot in the morning classes. The afternoon classes were almost unnecessary. As I have said, the classes were quite dynamic, but when you advanced you realized that the routine was similar in each level, which ended up being a bit tiring. At the end of the course, I changed to the Cambridge Certificate preparation course (5 weeks) because it represented a much greater challenge than the general course. I wish that I had started that earlier, to get to finish the course and take the exam, but I could not.
The city of Brisbane is without a doubt the best city to live in in Australia. I had the opportunity to visit both Sydney and Cairns besides the Gold Coast, and my stay in Brisbane. The Gold Coast is beautiful, but I don’t know if it is conducive to studying because the atmosphere is more “party” like. Brisbane is extremely close, so you can take the train cheaply to spend the weekend there.
Returning to Brisbane, I can say that we could not have chosen a better, a city fuller of life with so much to do. It has beautiful places to visit, in the city and outside of it. It is full of beautiful parks to visit or places to have barbecues for free! It is always clean and has many outdoor activities.
Without a doubt, our experience in Australia is something we will never forget, it has been the best trip of our lives so far.
Greetings,
Alejandra

Everything is going as planned. I started my studies on the 8th of December and go to school every day here in downtown Brisbane, just what I signed up for. The school is very well managed and, as I had wanted, very strict and challenging. Lessons are given in a small group (7 students) on a high level and with a well structured schedule by professional and well-prepared teachers. Suggestions for activities to do in our spare time sometimes come up unexpectedly. I participated in an extracurricular communication group yesterday; it was refreshingly lively but well lead.
I will spend the Australia Day long weekend (in three weeks time) in Cairns, with the opportunity to go snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. The student travel agency right next to the school has helped me organize this at a low price.
I live in Mansfield and I am really being spoiled. Since Brisbane is so well organized, I get to the school with a half hour bus ride which gives me the opportunity to prepare for class during the trip.
Time is flying. I will start planning my trip through Australia during my free time in the next few days and organize the details. As I said, it was a successful and enjoyable time that I would not want to have missed out on.
All the best,
Guido
